Gullane start where they left off as Haddington top Division 2

Gullane looked strong on Sunday as they picked up where they left off last season with a win at Musselburgh.

Elsewhere in the 1st Division there were wins for Dunbar and Royal Musselburgh, as Haddington's successful trip to Castle Park left them on top of Division 2.

Meanwhile there were some upsets in the lower flight with Craigielaw only able to manage a draw at Whitekirk, whilst Tantallon had to settle for a share of the points at home to Gifford.  But it was Thorntree that delivered the shock result of the weekend, boosting their chances with a first away win in four years.  That result at Kilspindie leaves Gordon Lynch's team in trouble and sorely in need of some points against Longniddry next week.
