There's a new format for the Lothians & Fife Winter Counties league, with teams playing each other just once during the season.  In a set of changes introduced for a one year trial, all four teams are in action at the same venue on each match day.

Teams will be made up of just eight players with each match comprising four foursomes ties.  In each match the fourth tie is made up of one U18 player and one U22 player.

The East team were up against it on the opening weekend as they ran into an in form Fife team on home turf at Balbirnie Park.  Link to the match report on the Lothians website above.
