Congratulations to Longniddry's Kevin Girdler, who aced the short sixth at Monktonhall on Sunday.

However it wasn't enough to stop hosts Musselburgh marching to a 5-0 win.  So despite a narrow defeat at the Glen in their opening match, the season is now officially up and running for Alex Chisholm's side, who can look forward to entertaining Gullane next.

And Jeff Aitken's team ensured it's going to be a top-of-the-table clash, following their away win against champions North Berwick.
