At the recent AGM the league's general council decided to increase the 1st Division from six to seven teams in season 2017-18.  As a result the top three teams will be promoted from Division 2 at the end of the 2016-17 season, and the bottom two teams in Division 1 will be relegated.

At the same meeting Dunbar's application to rejoin the league was provisionally approved.  Subject to completing the application process Dunbar will compete in Division 2 in season 2017-18.
