Tantallon step up their challenge as Haddington go clear at the top

Tantallon made light work of Castle Park on Sunday to put pressure on promotion rivals Craigielaw after Gordon Smith's team could only manage a draw at Kilspindie.  Meanwhile Haddington had an easy ride when their opponents Whitekirk were unable to raise a team and were forced to concede a 5-0 victory to the leaders.

Up at the Racecourse Thorntree recorded a second away win of the season - a feat they last managed 18 years ago !  They now find themselves in the top half of the table and looking forward to their next assignment at home to Longniddry on Sunday, with the winners set to join the promotion race.

Longniddry had to settle for a share of the spoils on their trip to Gifford and, having lost out to Kilspindie in the previous round, may not be relishing a third consecutive away fixture.

And it's crunch time at the top of the table a week later when Haddington travel to Tantallon seeking to protect their 100% record, whilst Craigielaw will expect to take both points at home to Musselburgh Old.
