There was little to separate the teams in the five 1st round matches with every one decided by a 3-2 margin.  Glen were the only home team to progress, and their win came at the 20th hole in the deciding tie.

Only North Berwick were stretched further, their passage to the quarter final only secured when Chris Wood and Craig Hardie won at the 21st in their rescheduled match at Haddington.

That leaves one 'all 2nd Division' quarter final when Thorntree host Craigielaw, and one 'all 1st Division clash' when Royal Musselburgh entertain Kilspindie, the double-header taking place on Sunday 5th February.

On the same day North Berwick welcome Glen for a quarter final 'derby day', whilst Gullane travel to Musselburgh Old.
