In an exciting climax to the 2015 Lothians & Fife Counties Winter League on Sunday at Mortonhall, Midlothian secured the halved match against Fife which saw them top the table.

The first match went to Midlothian 3&2, the home pair being 7 under par for the victory. There was an eagle and 5 birdies, and David Miller assured me that it was a lip out for an albatross. The second match was a comfortable 5&4 for Midlothian which meant that the trophy was in the home team's possession for the first time since 2002. However, they still lead in the total number of victories achieved. Fife fought back for the half with a convincing 6&5 in the third match, and the final match was clinched by the “grandfather and youngster” pairing by one hole. 

The East v West was a close match and ended up a half which enabled West to clinch second place.
